Sugar from Brazil

I have a friend here in Houston she is one of my neighbor here and she is from Brazil. It's nice to have a friend around the globe.

Anyway, I found this website today it's about sugar from Brazil. I didn't really know that Brazil is one of the largest sugar production in the world till I found their website at highseasugar.com


Brazil is so powerful when it comes to sugar and Yep! I see they have tons of sugar canes. I love to eat sugar canes when I was a little they are so sweet.

In 2006 they produced thirty million tonnes of sugar, which made up 20% of the world’s total sugar production. Of that 30 million tons of sugar, Brazil exported 17.7 million tonnes of sugar to other nations, which comprised almost 40% of the sugar traded in the world that year.

That is a lot. I can't believe it.
